Allow us to introduce Dr. Lucy Shoemaker, a highly experienced and compassionate veterinarian serving as the Managing DVM at Renton Highlands Pet Clinic. Dr. Shoemaker graduated from veterinary school in 2006 and has been practicing veterinary medicine ever since. Her career began in rural mixed practice, where she worked with a diverse range of animals, including livestock, horses, cats, dogs, and even wildlife and exotic pets.

After gaining valuable experience in western Colorado and North Idaho, Dr. Shoemaker now focuses her expertise on providing exceptional care to cats and dogs at Renton Highlands Pet Clinic. She takes pride in working closely with clients, regardless of their socioeconomic scale or lifestyle, to ensure the best possible care for their pets. Dr. Shoemaker finds joy in the ever-changing nature of her job and the opportunity to help people take the best care possible of their pets.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Shoemaker leads a fulfilling life with her two border collies, Muffet and Taz, along with her cat named Paisley and her horse named Kitty. In her spare time, she enjoys activities such as riding, CrossFit workouts, skiing, and mountain biking, allowing her to find balance and rejuvenation.

Driven by her passion for animals, Dr. Shoemaker is constantly seeking to deepen her understanding of veterinary medicine.
